This idol is an inspiration from Shri Baba’s consent photograph clicked by Chidambar Rao K Gadre for his friend Sadashiv Joshi. Joshi gave him Rs.10 to give dakshina to Baba and also requested him to take baba’s photograph. Gadre gave dakshina to baba but did not dare to ask for His pic. While leaving baba himself asked Gadre to click his photograph and give it to Joshi at the condition of not for profit.

Shirdi Saibaba sitting like a Grand master
This idol is the sitting posture of shri baba folding his legs with His right leg on his left knee and left-hand fingers on his right foot. It shows his protection for devotees who chant his name Sai (the reverse chanting of Esha) and clearly reveals that he is the incarnation of Lord Shiva, the lord of Lords.
