Sri Ruru Bhairava

The Incarnation

Legends are replete with tales of divine blessings bestowed upon devout worshippers: Lord Krishna was blessed by his son Sambu, Lord Vishnu was granted the Sudarshana Chakra, and Lord Rama attained the boon needed to conquer Ravana through rigorous penance. The significance of Ruru Bhairava is unparalleled, as even deities like Pratyangira, Parvati, and the Dasa Mahavidyas are advised to be worshipped only after paying homage to him.

Ruru Bhairava, originating from the essence of Rudra, epitomizes the essence of Maharudra. Worshipping him brings profound benefits, foremost among them being salvation, as he is revered as Vimochaka, the liberator from all tribulations, attachments, negative attributes, and illusions. In addition, devotees gain eternal wisdom, mental flexibility, and relief from stress. His benevolent influence fosters harmony within families and workplaces.

With a staff in hand, along with a conch, and wielding the sword and shield, Ruru Bhairava stands with his tranquil three-eyed form, bestowing boons with his serene presence, adorned with the directions themselves as his garment or sometimes manifests with no clothes. As the embodiment of divine energy, Ruru Bhairava symbolizes courage, protection, and benevolence, offering solace and guidance to devotees.

Like the purity and brilliance of a flawless crystal, his presence shines forth, illuminating the hearts of devotees with divine light and tranquility.
